A great weekend planting 1355 trees at ExxonMobil on Saturday and then burning today on Falkland Estate at Drumdreel.
57 volunteers yesterday and 46 today, brilliant numbers with lots achieved!
Saw more good weather and another very large turnout, with two bonfires, though not as large as we were expecting due to all the timber stacked up in piles. For those not there the piles were a nightmare to remove timber from. To start with we cleared up left over pieces on the ground in a large area around the two fire sites, then set about removing timber off two stacks. A good area was cleared by the time we left. At Chancefield a small group managed to dismantle the diesel stack, dig out and lay the foundations for the compost toilet.
Well done to everyone for helping the local environment and making it another very successful weekend.
